Our National Press Club Conference was perhaps the first of its kind in history, whereby so many top national security experts came together with so many renowned mental health experts to discuss the fate of humanity. Never before has this nation faced a predicament where all its institutions are collapsing in the absence of mental capacity (that is, the failure to address the mental incapacity in Donald Trump, which has caused his mental incapacity to spread). Mental capacity is a basic medical prerequisite for any human function to work.

This is why the national security experts at our Conference represent the exceptionally brave few who are willing to face the problem of mental incapacity, which even the Fourth Estate finds too frightening to cover—such that it pretends it does not exist and that this is a normal presidential race!

Prof. Claire Finkelstein is an expert in the law of armed conflict, national security, and professional ethics who is also director of a national security ethics center, Center for Ethics and the Rule of Law (CERL) at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. In May 2021, CERL held an important conference: “When Society’s Safety is at Stake: A Post-Trump Review of the Goldwater Rule,” which can be found here.
