A Large Part of Preventing World War will be Saving Our Soul

“The real, only way to prevent the use of nuclear weapons is to eliminate them.  Any use of a nuclear weapon—anytime, anywhere, and in any context—would unleash a humanitarian catastrophe of epic proportions.”

The United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres repeatedly warned, while Vladimir Putin taunted, ahead of his reelection for another six-year term:

“[Western nations] must realize that we also have weapons that can hit targets on their territory.  All this really threatens a conflict with the use of nuclear weapons and the destruction of civilization.  Don’t they get that?!”

He lauded what he said was Russia’s vastly modernized nuclear arsenal, the largest in the world.
