This special conference will be held in the Ballroom of the National Press Club on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 1 to 5 p.m. Eastern Time. The last hour will be a reception. Use Eventbrite to register and attend.
We are at an extremely critical time right now. That is why we will be convening this major, unique, impacting conference a few weeks before the impending presidential election.
At no time has mental fitness in leadership been more important. Yet, at no time have we had a presidential campaign where mental fitness has been a more precarious issue. The year before the 2020 presidential election, our major conference, also at the National Press Club, “The Dangerous State of the World and the Need for Fit Leadership,” conference was considered important enough that it was broadcast for all 3 hours on C-Span. As never before or since, we brought together thirteen highly respected experts from many different areas of expertise, including psychiatry, law, political science, economics, history, journalism, climate science, and nuclear science. This year, a new book by mental health experts will be released, issuing anew their ever more dire warnings.
We have a special website solely dedicated to this upcoming conference. Registration is now open. The conference will begin at 1 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. ET, when we will hear from and interact with the foremost experts on presidential fitness of our time. Your ticket will also allow you to attend the post-conference reception with hors d’œuvres and drinks, where you will be able to meet and talk with the panelists.

About the World Mental Health Coalition
In 2017, we saw that mental health associations were abdicating their responsibility under political pressure and keeping silent about an unprecedented public health emergency. As a result, we decided to form our own organization and to step in where others placed self-preservation and profit over their ethical duty to protect society. We now know that an overwhelming majority of mental health professionals agree with our stance. This is how we became the nation’s first and largest mental health professionals-only organization to address the issue of dangerous leadership and our professional societal responsibility.

Dr. Lee is a forensic and social psychiatrist and an expert on violence who became known to the public in 2017 with her book, The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 27 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President. Since then, she has endeavored to warn the American public of the societal dangers that would result from someone like Donald Trump being given the powers of the U.S. presidency. In 2024, is the country any better prepared to deal with him? There are many more dangers ahead, which is why we will be holding a major conference on mental fitness in the Ballroom of the National Press Club on September 27, 2024, now open for registration. I am terrified at the thought of Trump getting back into the White House for very personal reasons. My father suffered from the same mental health issues Trump suffers from. My mother was abused (physically and psychologically) for the 20 years they were married and he never stopped criticizing her in the years after their divorce. My sister and I also suffered from his abuse (in different ways). He pitted my sister against my mother for his attention and worked to prevent me from developing emotionally in a way that would have challenged his supremacy in the family by becoming more successful as an adult than he was.
With the support system Trump has around him now (contrasted with November 2016), the damage he will do to America this time will make what he did in his first time in office will look like a children's birthday party. We must prevent this from happening by giving Kamala Harris a LANDSLIDE VICTORY!
