It can happen *either way* that any state's secretary of state decides whether or not Trump can be on a primary election ballot, that is, accepting or rejecting a Republican Party nomination.
I can see it now, red state SOS’s declaring Biden disqualified (“because I believe it, because Hunter, because Q says so”) so he’s not in their elections. What a mess. Remember, only “alternate facts” are true. The courts will be tied up until Trump’s “Justices” say he wins.
However, I don't see how the SC can rule Biden is disqualified, if a red state SOS decides that, because under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, he hasn't led a rebellion or insurrection or given aid or comfort to those enemies.

The district includes several counties in western PA (where he's from), as well as Erie. Anyway, those counties south of Erie are among the worst of the "conservatives" in PA or anywhere. (The Democratic candidates have been superb--apparently too much so for those other counties.) I think we're stuck with that infamous guy, to whom I refer "Trump Mini-Me." Ugh!
“Legal experts should not comment on public figures unless they have personally represented them and received authorization to speak about them.” In other words, only judges appointed by trump, and lawyers he hires, have any right to speak about him. Everyone else just shut up. What could go wrong?
It seems the cowardice of greed overwhelmed every person who should have adhered to ethical standards all along the road to this situation. That cowardice led directly to where the USA is now. It is right there in the Constitution. And it is clearly meant to disqualify any person from being President if that person has done what we all saw Donald Trump do, right there on TV: Trump tried to overthrow the government of the United States.
Yet our government officials ignore this simple powerful direct constitutional route for dealing with Trump, choosing instead to thumb though the criminal codes looking for some law that he violated, and then to try him and find him guilty of some criminal offense or the other. But that is beside the point.
Our Constitution is clear on this: a convicted felon is not disqualified from serving as our President. And while I applaud Fauci Willis and other brave Americans who are trying to hold this menace accountable for his crimes, nota bene: even if convicted Trump can still become President again.
It's amazing that our Democracy has lasted this long.

Of course, this is likely, IMO. It will be a mess. But the effort to petition the SOSs should go on, regardless of the outcome. Public transportation, billboards, social media promotions, reasonable Republicans with credibility and large followings speaking truth... etc.
