An exogenous factor behind the spread of mass psychosis is failure of state. When violent ideas/narratives (that can create mass violence) are allowed to spread without containment, when the dominant personality (chief spreaders) are allowed to operate freely, when the laws are not enforced, criminality is not punished, when societal destructive phenomenon are allowed to unfold undeterred - The results are obvious & unsurprising. The failures (either due to corruption or out of incompetence) of Justice system, Courts and state intelligence aggravated the spread of mass psychosis & its terrible consequences.
