Re Jack Smith: “I really believe he is mentally ill!” Pure narcissictic projection.

When can a group of mental health experts actually DO SOMETHING meaningful to protect our country? Sincere question. All the lights on the dashboard are blinking red. What's the hold up? Not trying to be a jerk, but this is becoming quite dire & the window of opportunity is closing with each passing day. The longer this continues, the more steam he's able to gain.

I believe where I live, that a close family member must give consent for their relative to be detained under the Mental Health Act. I wonder if that is the case in the US?

Is the DOJ getting up to date mental health expertise advise on this matter? If not, currently active professionals like yourself (I'm retired) should do their best to advocate DIRECTLY to the DOJ . This is an area of expertise that can't be based on generic "common sense". It requires expertise like yours or other specialists in the field.

Thom Hartmann is wrong. The greatest strength of Trump is his belief that America is a dysfunctional Democracy and a weak state (& US has acted like this until recently). He thinks he can commit ghastly crimes and get away with it. He's been doing this all his life. I say that it's time to prove him wrong. Let's give Trump a taste of Militant Democracy (Karl Loewenstein) and a Strong state. Crush this cornered rat with brutal force and he will squeal. His co-conspirators will squeal. Time to lock him up.

Timothy Snyder is correct. "That Trump will be tried for his coup attempt is not a violation of his rights. It is a fulfillment of his rights. It is the grace of the American republic. In other systems, when your coup attempt fails, what follows is not a trial."

Dr Lee, notice that Trump is indicted on serious charges in Florida court but he doesn't attack Judge Cannon - it's because Cannon is a stupid & incompetent MAGA judge. DC court has competent judge & jury and this is what scaring Trump. Trump's tirade is not strategic, it's raving of a narcissist that is near his narcissistic dissolution (as many experts have predicted). Time to crush this rat.

Fully agree with Leslie P. Also a retired LCSW history of working in patent, out patient, private practice and two family psychopathic members. One is in Maximum Security Prison for killing his wife with zero remorse. Regarding that once, as we now see nationally these sooo sick people free from absolute constant every thing from individuals through nationally including internationally we are all in grave danger. Restrain them maximally or exist in total fear.

Please speak to those who must act. Locally, nationally!

There are many parallels between Trump's ascent to power in the United States and the rise of Adolph Hitler in post-WWI Germany. Wealth inequality in both had reached historic extremes. Proletariats had been on a downward trajectories for decades: in Germany since losing WWI and reparations, and in the United States since the election of Ronald Reagan and the rise of the neocons with "small" ie, plutocratic, governments that favored the wealthy and ended the middle class ascent.

In both countries people realized that their governments had once again double-crossed them, and the people prepared yet again to "throw the bums out". Voters in both post-WWI Germany and the current United States chose malignant narcissists to do the job.

Oligarchs know that any elected narcissist leader does not care a whit about oligarchs or the plight of ordinary citizens. Narcissists care only about themselves and power. But oligarchs support narcissist leaders, believing that they can control a narcissist leader once he is in power.

Bad mistake: the first rule about malignant narcissists is that they care about no one but themselves.

Hitler soon turned the proletariat against the oligarchs, and his Third Reich gained complete control. The United States is in transition now, having recently chosen proto-fascist Trump for their leader but rejected him for a second term.

Trump and Biden are tied in recent polling about the next presidential election. The economy is doing quite well at the moment under Biden's first administration, although a recession looms. But the bigger choice in next election is about the economy. Rather, it will be choosing between pluralistic democracy and proto-fascism, like a similar choice that faced Germany after WWI.

The U.S. did not "choose" Trump either time. On election eve in 2016, Trump--along with Jared, Melania and Ivanka--was improperly told by a media consortium representative around 5:00 pm EST that, according to the exit polls, he was losing.

According to Cheri Jacobus (tweet on 2-22-2022 responding to tweet from Ryan):

And on election night 2016 at 5:01 ABC News' Chris Vlasto gave Trump secret exit polling data WHILE POLLS WERE STILL OPEN showing Trump lost, but where to "find" the right combo & number of votes to win the Electoral College. No doubt Russia had the info by 5:05 and got busy.

Replying to @PostRoz and @PhilipRucker

Trump enlisted Russia's help to win election & allowed our democracy to be stolen. Gave our voter info to Kremlin so they could micro target us on social media and through C.A. As a return on investment they softened RNC platform on Ukraine. Smells like Treason to me.

The fact that this malignant psychopathic madman, openly exhibiting his malice & poisonous intent, abusing nearly everyone except those who worship him, this villain out of a bad batman mutation, hasn’t already been rounded up, after Jan 6th… shows that America is compromised. The system has been corrupted, trump & gop enablers & murdoch media are kremlin malware trojans inserted & actively scrambling brains…

& the system can’t help normalizing what is now poisonous, boiling, acidic, explosive cauldron of horeshite (the gop-trump-cult)

Previously posted: "He is an active measures agent created by the Kremlin, enabled & promoted by billionaires like Murdoch & Musk & their minions, backed by neo-fascist psyops & militia folk like Flynn & Oathkeepers, & an entire pseudo-religious cult of whack-jobs out of a bad twilight zone meltdown. I would like Donald Trump to be detained pre-trial for everybody’s safety. He is dangerous, as are many of his acolytes and Republican lawmakers.

I just cannot understand why he has not been detained for assessment.

As far as I'm concerned, Trump will always be connected with violence. Not only have hate crimes risen since Trump has been on the political scene, hate crimes are noticeably higher in cities where Trump has held Rallies. If the United States is so much better than the rest of the world, in wealth, military occupation and force, and supposedly, in intelligence and safe harborage from life threatening conditions that human beings risk everything for a chance to survive from, then why can't the United States prevent instead of permit a career pathological sociopath to run for the highest office in the land and in the world? We the people across America deserve better than this, and all the people in all countries around the world also deserve better than this.
