I've been married to a Covert Narcissistic Personality Disordered man (as confirmed via psychiatric interviews by a world-reknown psychiatric clinic) for 30 years, plus I have consulted with 60 different marital therapists, psychologists & psychiatrists... (all documented). My sibling has had diagnosed late onset paranoid schizophrenia for approximately 28 years. Trust me, I've been in this "Foxhole of Certified Insanity" with BOTH of them at the same time (as caretaker & domestic abuse victim) for 30 years... Every case study is unique & different, but I can honestly state it was "easier" to deal with the horrifying chaos, dangerous situations & near-death experiences for a psychotic person than it is to deal with a "Psychopathic/Sociopathic Disordered Person" like Typhoid Trump. For the Schizophrenic there are laws, resources, medical docs/psychiatrists, peer support advocates, etc., and other boundaries, laws & limits. There are NONE for the clearly mentally ill "rich/elite/powerful." Why? Maybe it's because so many in society themselves are in "lust" with greed, power, control...

Criminal acquittals " by reason of insanity" mean the accused is deemed unable to distinguish right from wrong.
It is a legal term of art, applicable in court proceedings.
