Thank You so much Dr Lee as a Clinical Psychotherapist I am eternally grateful for your contribution to society. I am sorry that I will not see you on Anthony’s show again. I watched every one that you were on. I had the first video you put out on DJT as my pinned tweet for 7 years and have always followed you and will continue to do so. Thank You keep. Fighting the good fight. I know I am repeating your messages every chance I get. I have also ordered the second book. Good Luck with everything ♥️🙏

Hi Bandy, the shows you did with Anthony Davis were wonderful and they will circulate on YouTube for years to come! I'm continuing to circulate them myself because we need to be able to recognize the overt behaviors of dangerous character types who gaslight the population and promote violence. Demagogues, dictators, and abusive people have much in common...we need to recognize the signs before we give them the power to harm us.

I am concerned that if MAGA gains power they will eventually get around to censoring YouTube. You are correct that these are invaluable historical documents. Maybe they need to be put onto a DVD and/or produced as transcripts in written form as another book.

Thanks for this robust follow-up on the conference and post-event waves. I am so glad you brought up the Lawrence O'Donnell /Mary Trump segment. Although it had many good moments, I was infuriated by repeated statements that (to paraphrase) "no one in the mental health community is saying anything about Trump's mental imbalance"!!! This is just a week after the Conference and they are either ignorant, or are willing to look ignorant to not mention the conference. It was shameful for both of them, whom I typically like and admire. Same with George Conway who acts like he invented the idea that Trump is not well. I used to also be upset with the 2 guys on Shrinking Trump, who also do not mention your contribution ; however after reading about Gartner in "Trump Contagion" I understand that better. You have been "Bandywashed"! I think it's quite unfair and unprofessional but, in the end, you orchestrated a magnificent conference and a new book and all these others did not :) Bravo!

Many thanks to Anthony Davis for hosting you several weeks in order to afford the needed time and depth.

Question : as I recall Ruth Ben-Ghiat was at the Yale conference but do you ever partner with her? There is a lot of socio-historical import to your psychiatric input AND a lot of psychology & group behavior material that flows from her analysis of Authoritarian movements. I find the two of you the pre-eminent scholars and advocates for this moment.

Much gratitude for your courage and clarity!

He’s definitely an advocate! Also, he’s really talented. I see both brands growing as a result.

It’s not surprising that a Corporate Media that refused to expose Climate Change when it first emerged 35+ years ago would find it to be such a moral struggle to thoroughly investigate a highly manipulative pathological liar (and those who are attracted to him) in a realistic way. Anyway, you’re not sending him to Bellevue, you're just stating your years of expertise.

I like MSNBC but they are still corporate media. They flirted with hiring Rona Romney as an expert only 6 months ago! It took a courageous stance from Rachel Maddow and other hosts to stand up to the network in order to get Romney cut loose. If Trump winds up in power I can see the network trying something like that again and maybe many hosts will have to quit. Trump and Project 2025 will censor any dissent within months anyhow... It's terrifying.

Thank you, Dr. Lee, for sharing. Yes, unfitness in power is unaffordable and is, in fact, very expensive. The growing global trend is to give women leaders opportunity to inject sensibility, commonsense and manageability into the economies of countries periodically and incrementally. A Kamala Harris presidency may be good for the USA economy by also taking real steps to normalize the USA national and external debt burden vis-a-vis the national debt burdens of other countries globally. Nearly two-and-a-half decades into the 21st century and the USA national and external debt burden still exceeds that of two whole continents on Earth and is growing, thus shackling the future of Americans in onerous debt bondage, which always has profoundly negative consequences at every stage.

Thank you again for you expertise, insights, and care from for others. Please continue to seek media outlets. I really think going with independent media works well. I agree about MT, GC, and others.

I watch the two “Weekend Show” videos. I’ll start my comment with a famous Maya Angelou quote to express a basic principle: “Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better.”

So, my first premise is that everyone is doing their best, and I sincerely appreciate that more than my words can possibly say. But my second premise is that there is a way to do better.

You don’t have to be a psychologist to know that you can give advice to people who don’t want your advice, or you can talk to the wall, and the effect is the same. It’s abundantly clear that the effect of the field of psychology’s attempts to give advice to Congress, the mainstream media, and the general public, is like talking to the wall. The field can’t even talk to itself (per the APA’s response to Dr. Lee).

So, are there any other options? Here’s a clue from one of the great names in the field of psychology. “When we are no longer able to challenge a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” —Viktor Frankl.

In our current "Trump contagion" scenario, Frankl's advice implies that the field of psychology is being challenged to change itself. But how? In the spirit of constructive criticism, I offer the following.

What about my potentially erroneous but eminently testable conclusion that not a single person in the entire field of psychology has a scientifically valid explanation of the most important experiment in the field’s entire history, along with the interrelated conclusion that I have explained the experiment? Is it better to subject my conclusions to some combination of skepticism and open mindedness, or are they better left impulsively ignored?

I’ll answer that question by asking another question. What is the response from Congress, the mainstream media, and the general public to the advice about Trump contagion now being offered from the field of psychology? The answer is that the intended audience is not subjecting that advice to some combination of skepticism and open mindedness. Instead, the advice is being impulsively ignored. So, last question: in what way would it make sense for the field of psychology to follow that example in response to my advice? And I’ll leave answering that question to the field of psychology.

Dr. Lee your concern about providing important information about the psychological illnesses that affect Trump is comprehensive and appreciated. This information should be shared with the American citizens. Those who have been and are refusing to allow this pertinent information to the American people should be held accountable for aiding and abetting Trump. These people are contributing to the destroying of democracy in America.
