My best guess: that some 80% of Americans are under some form of dark hypnosis; as in NLP( neuro-linguistic programming.

See : “The Cult of Trump” by Steven Hassen’s, PhD c2019, updated 2024. The best selling of several books on Trump’s cult(ck Amazon).

Ck Hassen’s Substack for archived and current articles( he no longer requires a paid subscription to view)

Or: Thom Hartmann’s “The Last American President “ for a summary history of Trump: from childhood, his parents, mentors, businesses and the fall of American capitalism. The agency we Citizens have and must use.

I see most Americans going about their normal routines, my siblings included, with little awareness or concern for more than the price of eggs/gas.

While our Country, climate, global stability and the new military strategies, refugees, clean water, hunger, wars, cabal of oligarchs and a host of other issues that should share the b’jesus out of us, while our # 1 planet is on the verge of going apocalyptic

If 80 percent of Americans are under some form of dark hypnosis, please explain why Trump's approval rating is under 38 percent.

Keep speaking out. There are many of us who see the situation for what it is. Even if others are living in denial.

Btw Seymour Hersh said just yesterday he floated the nuclear option, he goes or he’s going to nuke Iran eventually if this goes on well past market manipulation schemes and I’m not joking seeing no deal or ceasefire period coming now- Iran has had enough of the games being played, here, period.

Trump would be willing to do that to get his approval ratings up enough to cheat even if he starts WW3 because I see every decimal point he ticks up Dems lead is falling at the margin in real time accordingly since that’s the game they’re playing here while chasing them to the Right sums up this cycle in 2026.

It’s not a joke, it’s not a game, and he would need to just get to where he was in 2018 at 44-45% in Nov of that year to literally make the climate EVEN btw with how much not just Reps fav sucks but now Dems too- the country is mad at everyone and like me just anti Trump but it’s coming in less Blue than either cycle in his first term in his second term again past his late May nadir.

That’s what happens when your own brand is tarnished and you’re relying on hating the pedophile President for your votes alone, his party is outrunning him 2-3% with him where he is. They literally don’t need him to be popular, just less unpopular, to turn things around for them is the danger with the bs Schumer is playing here.

As others are commenting, I don’t think it’s just Trump whose mental health warrants removal. There is an entire apparatus of people (I use the term loosely but grudgingly) supporting and enabling his behaviors. The problem of Trump seems to be one of socialized malignant narcissism. He’s bringing out the worst in people who were already pretty effing awful to begin with.

As I wrote on a different substack, we are at the mercy of a cabal of thieving lunatics wholly unqualified for their positions, with the ethics of alleycats

who wound birds and then bat them around for awhile before killing them.

Worst case scenario—DT, who cannot

tell the difference between fantasy and reality, and who is being advised by scrupulously loyal flunkies who are loathe to advise him with anything that resembles truth—like parents who let a toddler run the household because they’re afraid of his tantrums

—will sooner or later give in to his overwhelming neediness to feel powerful. But it’s unlikely to happen before the new underground bunker is ready for occupancy, because none of them are suicidal. What most people refer to as his lies, aren’t lies. They are his reality. He blends his fantasies with enough reality that listeners are reassured he isn’t completely off his

rocker, and thus label his fantasies as lies. Kristen Welker is only the most recent sacrificial lamb who allowed herself to be abused to demonstrate to all of us his stark inability to accept

factual information. Does anyone think his advisers are willing to be abused in that way? They most certainly are not, which means they

are playing right into his fantasies of

unlimited power and wealth.

Tic Tok people.

Thank you. I think it is apparent that not even the best intentioned people in government are willing to step outside the violence fomenting structures of the constitution and laws of the USA. Indeed the constitution has been the vehicle by which Trump came to power. You and your colleagues seem to have done almost everything possible within these oppressive structures.

I think we can read between the lines or maybe this is a form of bluntness but all these setbacks is going to lead to narcissistic collapse and a reach for the nukes. Can Marco take on one more role as annihilator preventer.

The “duty to warn” theme in this newsletter is different then my “duty to heal” theme.

Today’s newsletter references 20 psychological doctors, 36 eminent medical experts, a constitutional scholar, a former presidential candidate, and the World Mental Health Coalition. I’m sorry. I’m not impressed.

As I’ve said in previous comments, the proposed action amounts to repeatedly insisting that people who repeatedly refuse to listen must change their minds and start to listen. I simply don’t see how to interpret that in any other way than wishful thinking.

One can say, “Don’t make assumptions.” However, no one can think and not make assumptions. The question is, do we test our assumptions? That is the one thing that everyone practicing real science does. Not everyone does. Donald Trump doesn’t. The current Secretary of HSS doesn’t. The R majority in Congress doesn’t. The APA doesn’t (and didn’t with respect to the Goldwater rule). And my testable assumption is that neither does the community associated with this newsletter. By “testable,” I mean that I am either stating a falsehood that is convenient to me, or I am stating a truth that is inconvenient to this newsletter’s community, but the responses I receive to my comments repeatedly refute the former and/or confirm the latter (for the record, the chorus of crickets I’ve generally received to my comments confirm the latter).

I’m not trying to insult anyone. Instead, I was told: “When you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, say something! Do something! Get in trouble, good trouble, necessary trouble.” So, like it or not, for better or for worse, I am following that advice.

What is my potentially erroneous but testable "practicing real science" definition? It is stated under the "essential process" heading at the beginning of the following essay: https://jamesrcarey.substack.com/p/why-scientists-are-expert-problem?r=2nayrh

We keep doing everything to raise the alarm.

Keep telling the truth. Trump is insane. He is mentally ill as a malignant narcissist with frontal temporal lobe dementia including confabulation, delusions of grandeur and sundowning.

Kathryn's avatar

Alarming, nah, it's just who he is and because of his declining mental health and embarrassment he ramps up. It is sinking into the cracks of his brain that he is a loser, that he is way over his head and he has people like pistol pete, also way over his head, giving him advise and urging him on.

Corruption is tyranny.

When a government of the People, for the People, and by the People turns against the People, it's name is Tyranny. We the People have a duty & an obligation to exercise our Rights & Liberty to overthrow those traitors, & abolish their treason by any means necessary.

Revolution is the solution.

My mother-in-law had severe dementia, bless her heart, before she passed away at the end of 2020, because of Covid because that asshole president didn’t make enough vaccines, but that’s neither here nor there. But we did see her decline in real time. Even though she was in a nursing home and the last eight months, we were only able to visit her through a window visit because they wouldn’t allow anybody in the nursing home. But we just saw her going from being basically the way Trump is right now to passing away within 8 to 10 months. Like I said it was from Covid but the mental decline was very rapid. How he can stay in office any longer is beyond me. I’m not a doctor, but I do know how dementia works, and you do not get better, it only gets worse!! the American public needs to wake up and scream at the top of their lungs, if necessary to remove this man from office! Before he completes his destroying of the world!!

D. Hammer's avatar

Thank you Bandy for all you have said. Yes, "You had a duty to warn", and you have been dutifully warning us for over almost the past 12 years!!!! But now it's time to act, and "you must exercise your duty to act", by getting those inept clowns in Congress Motivated. So, how do you do that??? Perhaps by "Group Psychotherapy"??? Or, perhaps you could embarrass the hell out of them into action by publishing their individual I.Q. scores, (as most hover pitifully below 85)!!! Or, you could run for office too!!! After all, you certainly possess better professional qualifications than most of the current American politicians!!! Otherwise, getting American citizens to do anything on their own takes a very long time, involves lots of mindless bickering, and you are never sure of what you will end up with in the end. (Any wonder why their representation in congress is so inept)????

Wold world III has already began carefully crafted so the sacrificial lambs - Americans, will discuss it as they get kill instead of uprising and replacing completely the government.

Lori R.'s avatar

This is a recap of everything you have done to date to warn of a dangerous situation. As commendable as it is, nothing has changed. In my opinion, if Trump leaves or is removed from office within the next several months, it will have nothing to do with the assessment of psychiatrists or psychologists. I wish you well.
