"Dr. Bandy Lee, a forensic and social psychiatrist and editor of the project, said Trump shows concerning signs of potential mental illness and deterioration, and should agree to an independent psychological evaluation, just as military commanders are required to do.
Lee said it is concerning that Trump is canceling interviews that aren’t with friendly outlets and avoiding settings where his mental deterioration might be evident, such as another debate against Harris.
“We’re seeing a lot of signs—odd behavior—and people doing all kinds of things to cover for his impairments,” Lee said.

This didn't mention the psychiatric diagnosis these psychiatrists made regarding Donald Trump: "malignant narcissism". This diagnosis was created in the mid-1960s by Erich Fromm. He described the condition as "the quintessence of evil". He created it as a diagnosis for Adolf Hitler.
Many stories coming out now point to what I hope is the beginning of an avalanche of "wokeness" regarding everything Bandy's been speaking about for 7 years. Re your conference at the National Press Club, I spent an hour trying to find it! In fact, I had written down the day and time of your conference, thinking that I could watch it live. It is wonderful now to be able to hear/read what happened at the conference. CONGRATULATIONS for a job very, very, very well done!

I get where you're coming from George. However, there might be many voters who aren't hard-core cult followers, who are only tuning into the election just now and vote primarily on who they like, superficially. Just the fact that more and more people, Republicans especially, are calling him "unfit" and "dangerous," might grab some attention. Those attitudes are also contagious, counteracting the numbers of voters affected by what Bandy calls, "Trump Contagion. " I hope so, anyway!

I visited a long-time friend who is pro-Trump and his son, who may qualify as M.A.G.A. Cousins of mine intend to vote for candiate Trump. 😳 These people, still important to me, do not like candidate Trump but align with his policies; they are thinkers and as intelligent or smarter than I. 🤔 My only response to them (inwardly) is that I did the same in one election (1992) when I voted for someone whom I did not trust mainly to fit in with peers and to align with policy; I deeply regret that vote. 😢 The next election, and ever since, I have voted based on who has the better character. ⚖️ The point about M.A.G.A. is that I wish to respect their view and to plant a seed of change by what I say and, more importantly, by how I act. (¡Not that anyone gives a heaving hoot about what I say or do! 😉)
It doesn't sound to me as if these folks are very educated regarding Kamala's policies. It's been said over and over on the media that I watch that the Democrats and Republicans in Congress had come to an agreement and written a very good bill regarding immigrants at the border. But Trump told the Republicans to vote it down so that he could have an issue to run on. He doesn't care about fixing problems that affect real people. He only cares about gaining the power to avoid jail, be a dictator, and take revenge against everybody who's ever slighted him. I'm guessing that your Trump voting friends are saturated with Fox propaganda. They've been brainwashed by Rupert Murdoch.
Did anyone see Megan Kelly on Bill Maher Friday night? Maher tried to be respectful but basically allowed Kelly to spew MAGA talking points about criminals coming through the border, about "Democrats who promote pubertal youth having their sex organs removed so they will never know sexual pleasure", and of course how great Trump did in his first term. Her affect was aggressive, her manner bullying and derisive, and she conveyed a sense of triumph. All on all, rather hypomanic. She conveyed no insight that Trump had failed epically in the last year of his term, that Jan 6 was a significant act of lawless treason, and that Trump is increasingly bizarre and fascistic. All was dandy! Maher tried for a minute to push back but he was very weak, and seemed exasperated with Kelly's attempts to audition for a cabinet post or ambassadorship. Maher plays at courting some version of being inclusive and joining them in anti-wokeness but winds up missing the mark on opportunities to expose them. He clearly has contempt for Trump but shouldn't allow these shills to prance and crow on his air. At the end he did say that she's on the wrong side of history and dismissed her sourly . Figures like Kelly are lost, infected with Trump contagion; they have become pod people without a mind or soul, high on their own supply. Kelly apparently forgets how disrespectful Trump was to her in 2020. All in all, a distasteful display of obsequious self-promotion. Thanks, Bill.
Thanks for this review of Maher’s show…I didn’t see it and now I won’t see it for sure. I’m disgusted and have no patience for people who eclipse others and can’t have anything like a two-way conversation. They are un-evolved people who could use a good psychoanalyst. They’ve been blinded by the image Trump wants them to have of him and yes, they’ve lost the ability to perceive what kind of person he really is. They’re dangerously following an arrogant, deluded psychopath and leading others off an authoritarian cliff. We need to outnumber and out-organize them. Some may wake up, but we can’t depend on that.
