Thank you Dr Lee. One of the things you taught us is that a feature of malignant narcissism is destructiveness. We've seen that play out throughout his entire life - he destroys everything he touches: today's example is his own company, but ranges from a professional football team, to his bankrupt casinos, to golf courses, to various federal agencies, to sadly, as you referenced, the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans who died from Covid. It was my hope that he would self-destruct and take the Republican Party with him. Regrettably, that has not happened. His cult and command are stronger than ever. It remains to be seen whether he will self destruct first or will it be democracy and us who will fall victim to his madness. We know the diagnosis. The treatment that you've suggested in the past is to "remove" him from public and political life, and that the "shared psychosis" will be "cured". I don't think that we can rely on the courts and our legal system to remove him, though that's the hope. I don't think we can rely on the media to remove him. As a fellow physician, I am anxious to hear what your treatment plan is.

Thank you again. I continue to reference your work with the World Mental Health Coalition when I comment to pertinent articles in the New York Times and HuffPost, with a link to the worldmhc.org website. I get "recommends" and "thumbs-up" to those comments from other commenters, so I hope in some way that it gets the word out.

Why not organize large protests with as many well-known & established organized groups as possible confronting Trump's mental illness/mental unfitness so that the media would be forced to cover it? Surely grassroots groups like Mothers Against Gun Violence (who took down the corrupt NRA) & Mothers Against Drunk Driving, plus other groups could unite & take down Typhoid Trump. Create as many PR "stunts" as possible; the "crazier" the better... Like alerting people on social media sites to a massive "Free Book Drops" & drop 100,000 "FREE!" - "Dangerous Case of Donald Trump" books out of helicopters around the country or do other such "wild" PR stunts to gain media & public attention? There has to be ways to confront the self-delusional liars about Typhoid Trump's severe & dangerous mental illness/mental unfitness.

I’m finding people who seem like they would likely understand the mental health/medical approach balk when I suggest you’re & your colleagues’ books and varied social media profiles. I’ve gotten responses stating that they have to regulate how much they read about “this” or they will have to find time to read, etc. while I understand both assertions, I tend to believe that these folks are having difficulty taking a step towards these approaches to our world problems. That’s how their responses seemed to me.

I like your enthusiasm but a" truth" cannot be air-dropped on people and then they have a transformative experience, IMHO. What I do think that works is multiple steps from many sources. An example is people sharing their understanding of Trump's narcissism/sociopathy by conversations and example.

For me, an easy one would be to interject in conversations or online something that might be taken in and germinate in self-awareness. Such as, has anyone EVER seen Trump exhibit empathy?

Thank you Dr Lee for your continuous efforts. The 1st book was too early for the professional ( shama on them!) and general public to realize just what a danger Trump was and is. I believe had DoJ aggressively and quickly a

Indicted Trump and questioned the GOP enablers, the ones that wanted pardons on 1/7 and at least tried to get them on record ( making a statement to the FBI) Then MAYBE Trump would have been discredited not have regained his current influence. That is just a conjecture on my part but who knows!?

There are many future writings I hope to see on these issues from a medical point of view. Others, have written about how fast the GOP collapsed from authoritarian influence ( Orstein a specialist in observing the function of Congress for instance). I am not a medical professional but found The Dangerous Case of Trump to help me at a time when a clearly deranged person was given the Whitehouse. Please continue I look forward to reading further. Also,I am sorry for your personal loss from taking the needed action of informing the public. Thank you!

Why hasn't the media focused on the concept of Trumps popularity being classified as a cult phenomena?

Yeah, Trump is pathological, but followers are far too deeply invested to confront this reality. I see the coming election as a showdown between historical narratives. A Trump victory gives a couple extra decades of cover to years of criminality, not only of Trump, but of many in power. It also offers absolution for his backers, who can more easily extend their deniability about their own complicity in the destruction of American democracy, and that they’re not horrible people. It provides a shelter of fantasy. A Biden win continues the revelation of his and their awfulness. These are identity-threatening stakes. It’s not about policy, it’s personal identity.
