Not sure if John Mearsheimer has since reversed course but a year ago he was one of the loudest voices amplifying Kremlin talking points and blaming NATO for Russia's aggression. He was apparently financially incentivized to do so. See more in the archives/transcripts of the podcast Gaslit Nation at GaslitNationPod.com.

It is not clear to me whether Dr. Lee means to in one or more ways liken the United States to these four very bad actors (my personal view) or contrast the United States with them. Dr. Lee regards Richard Falk, an emeritus Princeton professor, as highly estimable, an "extremely thoughtful, independent, and principled voice()." What she fails to note is that Professor Falk has been renowned for many years as an earnest antisemite, someone who enthusiastically endorses the thinking of a really earnest antisemite, Gilad Atzmon.
