But today's situation with Ukraine is different when Putin has become an aggressor, a maniac on a misadventure. US is trying hard to keep the conflict below Nuclear threshold (US has refused Ukraine's request of NATO enforcing No fly zone over Ukraine). Putin's war on Ukraine was completely unprovoked and this war will destroy Russia itself - this has been asserted by General Leonid Ivashov (a respectable figure of Russian/Soviet military).
When Putin has become an invader, Ukraine's foreign minister has put their national agenda in clear terms - "You provide us with everything that we need. And we will fight for our security, but also for your security, so that Putin, President Putin will have no chance to test Article five of the North Atlantic Treaty,"
There is a risk of Ukraine war turning into a broader war in Europe. But US & NATO not giving weapons to Ukraine will not change the dynamics. Putin will rollover Ukraine (killing hundreds of thousands of people) and then what? What if Putin doesn't stop there and continues his adventure? What happens if Putin starts something with Poland or Romania or Moldova or some other NATO country?
Putin is the "crazy" of present time and unfortunately there are no pleasant options on Ukraine. US should continue to try diplomacy but must keep funding Ukraine for its defense as well.
That war protest is being pushed by fox. Anything pushed by fox has zero credibility, esp in this case.
