“Religions”, like all institutions, are subject to being taken over by the evil and malevolent forces that exist in all humans. In fact, religions, which are based on non-provable assumptions as well as training young minds to use less of their intellectual and cognitive powers and more of their emotional dependence on others for approval and instructions, are more likely to attract as “leaders” those who are desirous of or compelled to use those malevolent forces. History teaches us that much of war, conquest, sadism, etc. throughout the ages has been in the name of “religion “.

I enjoy these articles and agree but find myself thinking they stop too soon. What should we be taught that would help us not follow egomaniacs and the non-empathetic? I feel like it all stems from people being unaware of their true motivations, a fear of self-evaluation and a need to feel superior. What sort of curriculum could be taught that could guide folks back to a more humble approach to life?

I am praying that the true visionaries for this next level become emboldened and come forward ❤️

It's spelled Seder, not Sedar. Jesus was an Essene Jew who lived according to Hebrew and Jewish law.

I see so many sects where the emphasis is placed on following a set of rules with no connection to either morals or ethics.

I’m a Christian who believes the End is near, but I’m not familiar with the fundamentalists praying for Armageddon. Christianity itself has as a fundamental tenet the return of Christ to establish his Kingdom and bring a new world order (not burn it all down). The next to last verse of the entire Bible (Rev 22:20) quotes Jesus as saying “I am coming quickly,” with John responding, “Amen! Come, Lord Jesus.” And with the most-quoted prayer in the Christian world, Jesus told us to ask “Let Your Kingdom come, let Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Not by voting nor by reforming the human heart, but by “the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels in a flaming fire, bringing vengeance upon those who defy God.” (2 Thess 1:7) The end result of that is to be only good, except of course for those who resist. But even governments today are charged to do exactly that (execute justice on the lawless) so who should decry this hope?

Again, I’m not a fundamentalist, so I don’t know about the prayers of which you speak. Just be careful you do not conflate improper anticipation with Christianity itself.

Edit: Okay, I went and read the page with the video you linked, and they really do have it all wrong. First the Earth is not to be literally burned up, but made new. And we cannot speed the Coming up. That event is entirely in God’s hands. And in following Trump (or anyone like him) they are following an Anti-Christ. I feel sorry for them, but my feelings won’t save them. They should consider 2 Thess 2:8-12, as it addresses exactly what they are doing.

Many people had been labeled the anti-Christ in the past… it’s been amazingly rarely attached to Trump
